It starts again

Why does it never fail that two - three weeks into the semester, someone in my family ends up in the hospital. This semester is no exception to this rule. We had to put Grandma in the hospital today. She is very short of breath, having pain in her shoulders, and is extremely weak. Mom is talking about calling in hospice, because our goal is not to prolong her misery. We just want her to be comfortable.
