A matter of perspective

As you all probably know by now, I'm stressing big time over school. Calculus is kicking my butt all over the place. Just as I think I'm starting to get a handle on it, I freeze on a quiz or something and fall flat on my face again. With that said, I had a chance to participate in an opportunity this week though my church that made me realize how blessed I really am.

This week my Sunday School class passed out lunch, provided by the same government program that does the "free lunch" programs in the school", to kids who needed lunch. There are places all over our county where they pass out these lunches, but we were at a housing authority area pretty close to our church. These families, without this program, have a difficult time providing 3 meals a day to their children. I had one of my students from last year, I consider all the kids I subbed for mine (they were for that day at least), greet me and was happy to see me there. That just warmed my heart and made me realize that is why I'm doing what I'm doing. It is all a matter of perspective. With the goal in mind, the work might be hard but now it seems so much easier to deal with.

I will admit though, that I am still in count down mode. Only 2 weeks and 2 days left. Praying I get though Calculus with at least a C so I don't have to take it again.
