Good Week - Busy Week

Yesterday and today I volunteered at my church with the Bartow County new teacher orientation. Every year we allow the county to use our facility to host the two day orientation and we provide the technical (sound and presentation) support that they need as well as we serve as greaters and since our church as a huge parking lot we get out our golf carts and pick people up from their car and drop them off at the main enterance (we do this on Sunday morning as well). Yesterday I volunteered to stay the entire day to help and to just be available for questions. It was a long day, I was there from 7:15 - 5:00 for the orientation and then grabbed a quick dinner and was back from 6:30 - 9:00 for choir practice. Needless to say, I crashed when I got home. Today I was there from 7:15 - 10:00. I had a lot of fun though and got some great tips on getting a job in school system. Even though I have my MBA now (graduated a week ago) I'm going to go and get my certification which will require even more school :-(, but it is what I have decided I want to do. I'm going to wait a little bit for that though and get my paraprofessional certification, which just takes a day or two of training and you take a test, and start as a teacher's assistant. The pay isn't wonderful, but it is doable, and the benifits are great. So I'm going to work on that and hopefully I will get into a classroom soon.

Other than that, Grandma's eye is doing a little better. She needs to have three more of the chemo shots, one every 6 weeks, so it will be awhile before we are finished with that. Also last night I called on my home and discovered that Dad had severly cut his hand on his metal grinder when he missed the steal that he was working on. Nothing is ever boring around here. Mom and Dad are leaving today to go to a car show in KY for the weekend.

Wow, Steph, you've been a busy girl. I know the feeling...but it's kind of fun, isn't it? I'd much rather have lots going on than sitting around doing nothing! Just wanted to come and say hi, let you know I'm thinking of you, and to say I'll be around this weekend, after I finish school work, more school work, and then some school work...HA! Until I talk to ya again, have a good weekend...
