The Doctors Think They Know What's Wrong....

The answer would be his pancreas!!! What ever level they measure for your pancreas is suppose to be 200, Dad’s is over 1100. He has been NPO (nothing by mouth – food or liquid) since Saturday; today they gave him a couple of small cups of jello, a few graham crackers and a tiny tub of peanut butter, a popsicle, one small cup of juice and a little bit of ginger ale. Mostly liquids and all very light but just that caused him to have tightening in his chest, pain in his shoulders and stomach and a headache. They said that type of reaction can cause you to blackout. Needless to say he is back NPO (he can only have a very small sip of liquid when he has to take pills) since they want to give his pancreas a complete rest and they are going to start him on steroids. He is still going to be in the hospital for at least a few more days for them to get this under control, but at least now we know what to focus on. Thank you for all your support and prayers, we feel them.
Well today I went to a job fair, but it was pretty much a waste of time. They were targeting high school seniors with no job experience. Oh well, at least I got to see what was out there. Still waiting to hear from the dentist, but I know that she has been busy.

Sorry I have been down in the dumps lately, but it is a nice to know that I have a safe place to vent. I promise tomorrow I will post something fun and light.

there is nothing wrong with posting when down in the dumps and if you dont feel light and airy then dont try to force yourself to make a fun light post... we love the REAL you bad days and all. I am glad they have some idea whats happening with your dad and hopefully they can fix it post haste.
Hugs and prayers

I have been thinking in the back of my mind that it was his pancreas acting up. Glad they're on the right road to getting him fixed up. Blogs are yours for a reason...you put on them what you need to and keep it real. If someone has a problem with it, they just need to move on. Keep all y'all in my prayers.

Answers bring peace. Hopefully you will begin to get some results in addition to answers for your dad.
Sorry the job fair didn't amount to much.

Love the spring borders!!

Glad they are on the right track with your Dad. Hopefully they will get him "right as rain" (my grandfather used to say that all the time) soon!

Venting is good!
