Moving...or is it just a nightmare

For the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would choose to move unless the have to. I'm moving from Tampa, FL to Cartersville, GA for a couple of reasons. The main one being to help my mother care for my 86 year old grandmother and my father, neither of whom are doing well. A close 2nd is that I was laid off from my job of 6 years in October and wasn't able to find a new job. Packing is awful, but I think what is worse is trying to arrange everything with family. I've lived here for 10 years so saying good-bye is awful, but thankfully I'm very close to my friends so I know that we will keep in touch.

As a stress buster, I have started to play this game that I got off of Hallie's blog. However I'm not sure if it is a stress buster or if it increases my stress. It is addictive though. Click here to see what all of the fun is about.

Sorry this is so short, but I've got to finish packing. YUCK!!

Thanks for stopping by and WELCOME to the blogging world. I am a newbie too - just started in December. Hallie talked me into it and I am really having fun with it!

Good luck with moving. I have lived in Maine all my life (with the exception of college and grad school). We moved once when the kids were much younger...it is so much work!

See you soon!

Good luck with your move! I am a prior military wife and so we KNOW moving~ it's not easy, it's not fun, but somehow you manage to get through it. Welcome to blogging~ You'll love it as a way to meet new friends, stay in touch with old friends and just as a way to sort through your thoughts.
Best of luck! :)

Moving definitely is stressful - but it is also so exciting in lots of ways! I wish you a lot of luck on your move - that it goes smoothly and everything works out good. See you soon. Kellan
