Who's Who

No that isn't a challenge for some kind of guessing game to tell the difference between two pictures. I have been appointed to represent my area in Cambridge Who's Who Among Executive & Professional Women. I don't know how they found out about me and sure don't understand why in the world they would pick me but they did. After all I'm just a substitute teacher and before that I did work 6 years for Xerox, but I was just an associate - no biggie there. I was picked though and I think it is a HUGE honor.

This week was a tough week subbing. I was a very rough school and it was so bad that I asked to be removed from their list of subs. This is the only school in the county that I will not sub at, it was that bad. I have one more day out there this coming Friday and that will be my last. It was so bad that for two classes, one 7th and one 6th, I had to call administration down to my class everyday to have students removed. What really made it bad was that this was chorus and the kids picked to be in that class, unfortunately their teacher had to have surgery and will be out until after Christmas and the kids are sick of subs. They will be getting a permanent sub though on Monday which hopefully will make it easier on them. However I have been to this school before and it was the same way the last time as well, and I just don't feel comfortable being out there.

This week is birthday week at the house. Dad's birthday is today. Last night Mom made him is favorite dinner (she had to work today) and today Grammy & I took him to a chili cook-off and we just spent the day together. I'm only going to mention this once, but as part of birthday week my birthday is this Thursday and I will be turning 34 (YIKES). Mom is going to fix my favorite dinner that night.

That is all for now. Have a great weekend.
