My 100th Post

Well today I'm posting my 100th post. I started to blog back in January of this year as I was going though some major changes in my life. I had just been laid off a few months earlier and was getting ready to move from Tampa, FL to Cartersville, GA to be with my family.

The question that it seems that people want answered the most is how has my life changed since I have started blogging. I guess part of how my life changed since I started blogging goes back to the reason that I started blogging. I started my blog because I wanted an outlet to express myself and to be able to connect with people while I was in transition from Tampa to Cartersville. When I think back I honestly think that is the biggest way that my life has changed. Since I have started "My Daily Life" I have found a place that I can totally be myself and can talk about anything or nothing at all. I use to worry that if I didn't do a bunch stuff for people that they wouldn't like me, because that is what I dealt with in high school and carried that into adulthood. That was one of the most amazing things about blogging, nobody has meet me in person yet and yes at times I have the opportunity to do thing for my fellow bloggers but it wasn't required. Thank you for giving me a safe place to just chat or vent or whatever is needed at that particular moment. I truly cherish my blog friends!!!

The 2nd question that it seems that most people want answered is what is my favorite/happy moment.

Well one memories that has always been special to me was a trip that I took the summer between 7th & 8th grades. My entire family on my Father's side (this is my biological father - not my Dad. Long story for another time) went on a 7 day cruise to Hawaii. It was my grandparents, my two Aunts and my uncle and my two cousins along with my father and my sister and I. We got to visit all of the islands, but the best part was being with my Grandfather as he got to visit Pearl Harbor and got to visit some of the same spots that he did when he was in the Navy and was stationed in Hawaii. My grandparents have pictures at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel with my grandfather in his Navy uniform during WWII and then again years later with the family there. It was such a special trip.

I asked for input for what you wanted to know for this 100th post and Hallie asked these three questions and then the others that had commented asked similar questions or said that they liked these. So the third and final topic for today's special 100th blog post is the one thing that I want to do before I leave this world.

When I'm in a more of a funk I would say that I just want to work again. At times it seems like that will never happen. On a much more positive note there are two things that I really want to do before I leave this earth. One is to go back to Hawaii and the other is to go to Alaska. I love to travel and to spend time on the open water. (Don't worry Hallie - I will duck if I see any flying sting rays!)

That is it for my 100th post. Thank you for your friendship and coming to visit my humble little blog. I can't believe that I have 100 post already.

I've been to Hawaii twice. Once for my sister's wedding and another time for my honeymoon. You are right...it is a beautiful place! I hope you get the chance to go back someday!

Congrats on the 100th post!

SUPER 100th post, Steph! I truly believe that we are given who and what we need at exactly the time we need it; thus, the blogging! I feel the same way about it as you do. I can say what I want, in any way I want and my blogging friends take me just as I am. It's the place that I don't feel like I HAVE to be funny for people to like me. I can be boring, I can go on and on about stuff that can't possibly be all that compelling to people other than me, and my blog friends keep coming back. I'm so glad for us that we've found this! And each other, too :)!

I've never been to Hawaii but, after seeing your pix, I think I'm gonna need to get there in the not-too-distant future. My parents vacationed there every year for many, many years; it is a beautiful place. You WILL get back there, and to Alaska as well. I just know it; I know about these things! BWAHAHAHA.

Here's to many, many more 100s of posts...
