The Job Hunt Continues

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. I know, I need to get back to posting on a regular basis. Ok, yesterday I did something that is very unusual for me. I called, without any prompting of an ad or anything, a Xerox sales agent to see if they had any openings. I found his name and number on the Xerox website and called him. I told him that I had 6 years with Xerox in billing and inquire before they closed the office in St. Petersburg and that I had just moved up here and asked if he had any openings that could use my knowledge of the Xerox system. He didn't, but he is going to make some calls for me and call me back today. I'm not usually that bold, but I figured it couldn't hurt and I have something that they want - 6 years of knowledge on how to get things done in the Xerox system.

The latest around here is that Mom & Dad bought an 88 Chevy pick-up and is trying to play a game of beat the clock to get it fixed for them to leave for Ft. Myers this week. Dad has been working on it non-stop for the past two weeks with Mom & I helping when we can. It has kept us very busy, which is part of the reason for my non-posting.

I guess the biggest reason that I haven't posted very much is that I feel like I keep saying the same things over and over again. I suspect you all must get tired of hearing about it, because I sure do get tired of living the same frustrations day after day. I have considered just closing down my blog, but I not there yet. Any and all feedback would be welcomed.

Steph

Do NOT stop blogging. We all go through weird phases. I read tons and comment tons then I read a lot and comment little then I read very few and don't comment at all. We all feel highs and lows and that's ok. Life isn't a nicely wrapped package for all of us so we just have to take the good with the bad.

I'd miss you.

You CAN'T stop blogging!!!! This is such a great way to vent and get out all your frustrations. I have to agree with Hallie - you have to take the good with the bad. There are some days when I have nothing to say too, but sometimes you get creative just posting about "nothing." Also, this is a great way to get advice and to "meet" people from all over the country!

YOU CAN'T STOP NOW - I JUST "MET" YOU!

We're just in Funkytown together writing wise :)
Someone hit the music and we can dance! haha
Good for you calling! W. does some contract work for Xerox sometimes. Not that he has any pull, and even if he did it would be up here, but... (random trivia)
Don't quit blogging and I won't either. I do come often to see ya, I just don't always comment because of my little funk!

DO NOT STOP blogging~ There are times I dont have anything to say or feel like I am repeating myself saying nothing... then I can go read hallies (just pickin on hallie here) blog and the world is right again... seriously blogging has and is becoming a net work of friends that we would never have had the chance to meet several short years ago and the spiritual mental and even physical support is amazing!
you are an important part of this web and we need you!
I would love to meet up I am not sure when we will have another bid but I promised Martha a trip to atlanta if she manages to pass (tomorrow is the last day of school) so Hopefully we can plan something in the next few weeks ... I sure would love that!
HUGSSSSSSS

Do not stop blogging! You would be missed!! Just about the time you think you might have nothing really to talk about - a bunch of stuff happens in your life. It doesn't matter anyway, whatever you write is a way for you to express yourself "that day" - you know!!

I'm proud you took the step of contacting the Xerox guy directly - I hope something comes of it - good luck!

Take care - see you soon - Kellan

You little sneak...I just checked this morning to see if you had a new blog entry. lol No, stopping blogging is not an option! And blogging can be about any subject...your opinions, your thoughts, your rants and raves...and friends are ALWAYS interested in hearing about their friends! I love hearing about the improved health of your dad and that thought of calling the Xerox person was ingenious! I didn't remember(I don't remember a lot anymore--just ask my kids and husband) you had worked for Xerox or I would have suggested that. Steph, things work out in their own time, as you and I have talked about before, and I know the job that is right for you is just around the corner. So, keep praying, I'll keep praying, the bloggers will hold good thoughts for you and pray and you will get the job that is perfect for you. Don't you dare leave here...how would I get through all my probs and insane moments without you? Keep on keepin' on.

I'm so very sorry to hear that you didn't get the job, but..... don't stop blogin"!

It's such a great way to share your joys and frustrations. Just get it all out.

Sometimes it might be hard to figure out what to write, but then life happens. Maybe write about a small moment in time? Or how about 6 random things about you that nobody knows? Or how about what is in the front or back seat of your car? Or how you got your "puppies"? Just slices of life.

Sending you (((hugs))).

Don't quit. If you're running out of things to say, call on your bloggy friends, and we'll make you a list of blog titles.

It could be fun - we'll give you a whole bunch of blog titles, you can pick one at random every time you're in a little funk!

Friends are what we have to smooth over the bad parts. You need to stay connected and we'd miss you if you weren't here.
