Today's Update

Well Dad is still in the hospital and will be for a few days yet. They found a couple of small clots in his lungs, but that wasn't enough to make him black out. They also found out that he had a high level in his pancreas, they don't know what caused that but they have him on NPO (no food) and on an IV drip instead and it is coming down but right now is still very high. They are still testing, but I haven't gotten another update from Mom.

Yesterday I found out about a job opportunity at a dental office which is owned by someone who attended my church. After talking to her yesterday at church, I went today and filled out the application and faxed my resume. It sounds really positive. The doctor was too busy today to talk to me, but sent out her assistant to apologize because she really wanted to talk to me. This sounds good, and it is only 15 minutes from the house.

I love this quote from Mother Theresa, it has become one of my all time favorites becasue I believe that we all feel this way sometimes. "I know God promises that He won't give us anymore than we can handle (with His help), I just wish He didn't trust me so much."

Well tomorrow is tax day and being the last minute person that I am, I just finished my taxes today. Oh well I did an e-file and the signature sheet is ready to go into the mail. Hey at least this year I didn't need to file for an extension.

I'm glad they're keeping your dad for a few days to get to the bottom of this problem. I will keep fingers crossed and prayers flying that this job is yours if it's meant to be. Take care.

What's with the fall leaves? They look nice but aren't you in the wrong season? :)

Keeping your Dad in my thoughts. NPO sucks.

I see you listen to Hallie! haha

I came earlier, didn't have time to comment and came back and thought this was a different post since you changed the graphic.

Hope dad feels better and the job works out.

Oh, Steph, I am so sorry to hear about your dad and so happy to hear he didn't get hurt in the crash. This similar thing happened to my neighbor a few years ago - he blacked out behind the wheel in his driveway and ran the car into a tree. It ended up being his heart and he had to have a pace-maker put in. I will keep your dad in my prayers - poor guy - I hope he is okay. Take care - Kellan
