Terror In My Heart

Tonight something happened and it struck terror in my heart. I was trying to repair and update my Norton and in the middle of doing one of the 100s of reboots that I needed to do to accomplish this task I got what appeard to be the blue screen of death. Since my laptop (Dell) is still under warranty (I got the super-duper extra long takes care of anything warranty) I used Mom's office computer and looked up the number for technical support the whole time praying that I wouldn't lose all of my files since it has been awhile since I backed anything up. When I got them on the phone I walked back out to my laptop (my office/den is attached to Mom's office) and saw my screen saver up and everything working fine. I said a prayer of thanksgiving, told the guy on the phone what happend and started to breath again. Next step is to back up everything. I don't want to shut down the computer until everything is backed up just in case something happens.

Just an update on the health situation around here. Dad is still doing really bad and Mom might be taking him to the ER since he is still bleeding (internal - reason for the colonoscopy)and they don't know why. Mom is going to have to see a surgeron on Monday and will probably have and EDG because they aren't a 100% sure why she is sick. They think she might have gastritis, which is a complication from her Addison's disese and other stuff. I forgot all of the details, but when you look up what causes gastritis she has 3 out of 4 main causes. The only one she doesn't have is that she doesn't drink a lot.

Stay strong and know that lots of us are out here thinking about you.

And yes, I agree, anyone that screws someone in the military is below dirt.

I'll be saying a prayer for your parents Steph.

As for the computer. That blue screen can be scary. Luckily my husband is a computer whiz and can fix just about anything that I break!

I'm glad the Dell was okay - that is always scary when the computer acts up.

i'm sorry your parents are not feeling well - I wish them well and that they would recover quickly - feel better quickly.

Have a good Sunday Steph - see ya - Kellan

Hugs and lots of prayers coming your way Steph for your parents health conditions.

OMG--anything happening to my Dell is catastrophic. My first 2 years were good, but this past year...had to replace the hard drive and lost everything! Which reminds me, I need to go out and pick up a flash drive when we get Roger's office chair. I'm so glad your Dell got its act together!

You got to meet Jake's Aunt Mo? You lucky girl, you. Was Ellie Sue there? Take care and keep the faith.
